Tulsa slide guitar wizard and master luthier, Seth Lee Jones, delivers a collection of nine rocking, road-tested blues covers that crackle with energy. The album was recorded in under seven and a half hours, straight to tape with no edits or overdubs. These tracks are some of the band’s personal favorites, finely honed over years of live performances. While “Flathead” celebrates musicians as diverse as Muddy Waters and Roger Miller, the band puts its own spin on each tune. They deliver something fresh for blues rock fans, and their live show is on fire. When Jones isn’t leading this dynamic trio, he spends much of his time building and restoring instruments at his company, SLJ Guitars.
